"Tradition"

I would take a picture of my nieces and son on Christmas Eve night at my parents house. I had the joy of being able to add my great-niece in 2008. This tradition sadly ended when my parents died. This picture is from our last Christmas together.

"Feeding the Rays"

We went to The Milwaukee Zoo during the summer of 2008. My son got the opportunity to feed the sting rays and he loved it. I was touching them as they came by and one thought I had food for it and it came back and splashed me because I didn't. There was laughter all over. It was a great time!

dancing w/ my son

This picture was taken by my husband at my sister's wedding. I didn't feel it needed any journaling as "a picture is worth a thousand words".

I used regular cardstock, shimmer cardstock, the "pearl" patterned paper is from Stemma and the flowers are from Paper Studio w/ skittle accents.

"Like Father, Like Son"

I just had to take these pictures when I saw my husband and our son sitting on the couch the same way.
The patterned paper is from Creative Imaginations. I used my Stardust pen as you can see in the close-up. I also used a sewing machine on paper for the very first time. That was fun!

page w/ Pink Paislee products

This is another one of our infamous "family portrait" shots. LOL
I love Pink Paislee products!!!! They have such wonderful papers and embellishments. Visit them at http://www.pinkpaislee.com/.
I chose the papers and ribbon from their "Tinsel Town" line for this page since I took this picture on Christmas Morning 2007. The only non-Pink Paislee item is the glitter accent which is from FancyPants Designs.

"Cricut 101"

This is a very basic layout but I really wanted the pictures to be the focus.
This is my son taking the "Cricut 101" class that I used to teach at a local scrapbook store that is no longer open. He had a blast! He ran the Cricut by himself with very minimal help from me. Makes a mother proud!
The papers are all from Basic Grey's Granola line. I did use my Cricut for the title but I don't remember which cartridge I used.

I met Jen Young today!

I got the opportunity to meet a Cricut Messageboard friend today. This is me and Jen Young. Here is a link to her blog >>> http://youngsscrapping.blogspot.com. Hop on over and see her wonderful projects.

" ... with Family"

We're infamous for doing our own family portraits in my household. LOL This picture was taken August 10, 2007, the night before my sister's wedding.
All of the paper and stickers are from Flair Designs.

"One Size Does Not Fit All"

This just goes to show that one size does not fit all. This was my husband's jean jacket when he was in high school and he found it buried in the back of the closet. It's now hanging in our son's closet ... LOL!
The papers are from Basic Grey's Boxer line and the denim is from an old pair of my son's blue jeans that were quite worn. I inked the edges of the red paper w/ a charcoal Cat's Eye Chalk Pad.

"Making a Splash"

My husband and son having fun in the pool at our halfway stop home from Gramma & Grampa's. It's always great to let off some steam after being cooped up for 5-6 hours!
All of the paper in this layout is from My Mind's Eye. I cut the title out using my Cricut and Sports Mania cartridge.

"Mt. Rushmore"

We visited the Black Hills and visited Mt. Rushmore while we were there. It is absolutely beautiful!
This layout was kept very simple to showcase the picture. I used my Cricut to cut out the title using my Opposites Attract cartridge.

"Z & Z"

My son loves to play with Gramma's cat, Zoey, whenever we visit.

I used My Mind's Eye glittered pattern paper for the background and the ribbon is from May Arts. I used my Cricut on this one ... the names are cut from Calligraphy and the ampersand is cut from Graphically Speaking. I used my Stardust pen on the names to give them a little sparkle to match the glitter in the paper.

"31"

Whenever we visit my grandparents we always play "31" with Gramma. My son LOVES to play!
The patterned paper and stickers are from Karen Foster. I cut the "card shapes" using my Indie Art Cricut cartridge, "31" is cut out using my Storybook Cricut cartridge and I repurposed a mini deck of cards for an extra touch.

Me w/ Gramma & Grampa

This is me with Gramma & Grampa when we visited them June 2007.
I used My Mind's Eye glitter patterned paper and basic cardstock. I wanted to keep this page basic because my grandparents are "no frills" kind of people.
