Vintage Mini Album

Rosie received her album today and now I get to share full pictures with you. :)

The bulk of the patterned paper and all of the die cuts I used are from Tim Coffey's Blossomwood line by K & Company. The base pieces are from two different chipboard books that I bought from the Michaels $1 bins last fall.



I used a Tim Holtz D ring to bind it with charms by Lost & Found. The metal/epoxy frame under the bird is from Making Memories.



LEFT: I cut a border strip down to use as a tucking spot for the tags. I added some of the glittered epoxy stickers for a little extra.

RIGHT: I used double-sided paper from We R Memory Keepers for Rosie to journal on. The accent on the top left is a magnetic bookmark called a "foldover" from The Remnants Collection by Nostalgiques Collection/EK Success that I added a little butterfly to. The flower on the bottom right is cut out, inked and pop-dotted.



LEFT: The "foldover" from the previous page that has another butterfly attached. I used the "notebook" paper from We R Memory Keepers ... a picture on one side and journaling on the other.

RIGHT: I used some lace trim from Spare Parts by Paper Studio to create a frame around the mat.



LEFT: I accordian folded a piece of the "notebook" paper for pictures on one side and journaling on the other. It tucks under the "foldover" and popped flower.

RIGHT: The paper slips right out for access to the picture and journaling.



LEFT: I layered some glittered epoxy stickers and die cuts alongside the mat.

RIGHT: I tied some lace trim from Spare Parts by Paper Studio to the side for the little book to tuck into and added the little butterfly brads (I don't know what company these are from).



LEFT: The trim is from the other side with another metal/epoxy frame from Making Memories.

RIGHT: I tied more lace trim from Spare Parts by Paper Studio and added some word stick pins from Craft Essentials by Joann Fabrics. I added a Tim Holtz swivel clasp to the tags and D ring so they wouldn't get lost.



LEFT: The mini book is a meander book that I thought was too chunky. I decided to cut it into two mini books.

RIGHT: See ... can't lose the tags. LOL



LEFT: The trim is from the other side and I tucked another word stick pin from Craft Essentials by Joann Fabrics into it.

RIGHT: I pop-dotted the top part of the robin so that it had a little added dimension.



LEFT: I layered the die cut flowers right along the mat and pop-dotted the little bees.

RIGHT: This metal/ribbon accent is one of the newer embellishments from Making Memories. When I saw it at Michaels I knew it had to have a place in Rosie's mini.



LEFT: This is the other part of the meander book that I cut apart.

RIGHT: I folded a piece of the "notebook" paper in half and tucked it under the embellishment making more room for pictures and journaling.

GIBBS 4 mini album #2

This is the other mini album I showed a sneak peek of for Tammy, my GIBBS 4 partner on the Cricut.com messageboard.

I used 6" x 9" catalog envelopes for the base for this mini because I wanted Tammy to have more room to put her pictures and journaling. You can use any size envelope for this project ... that's what initially drew my eye to this tutorial.

The cardstock is from Bazzill and the patterned papers & embellishment pieces are from Bo-Bunny Press's Splendor line. The ribbon on the front is from Offray and the bling is from the $1 bin at Michaels.

I shared the YouTube video with my son and he made one right away. He thinks it's pretty cool .... I do too! Make one for yourself or a loved one soon ... they're pretty easy and quick.

GIBBS 4 mini album

Here are the pictures of the mini album I showed a sneak peek of a month ago. Tammy, my partner for this swap on the Cricut.com messageboard, finally received it so now I can share the whole kit & kaboodle with you.








The papers and embellishment pieces are all from Little Yellow Bicycle's Vita Bella line. The flowers on the front are by Prima w/ skittle accents and the ribbons are from miscellaneous companies w/ the beaded tassel from Hobby Lobby. I highlighted a lot of pieces using my Sakura Stardust pen.

"Happy Halloween"

This is a mini album that I created for a silent auction that my sister-in-law is having the beginning of October. The proceeds will go to American Cancer Society. She is having the silent auction at a Highland Games event that my brother-in-law is heading up and competing in called "Throwing for the Cure".

I am sharing some sneak peeks of a vintage mini album I made for Rosie, my partner in the Vintage/Distressed Mini Album Swap on the cricut.com messageboard.

I am waiting for Rosie to receive it before I share the full pictures. I don't want to totally spoil the surprise.

sneak peeks for GIBBS 4

These are a couple of sneak peeks for the GIBBS 4 swap on the Cricut.com messageboard. This round involved decorating a paint can (my first ever) and filling it with at least 2 "made" items and some bought items.



The above sneak peek is of the 2nd "made" item for my partner, Tammy. You can view the 1st "made" item ... just scroll down to the August 2nd post.



The can is very basic. I used K & Company paper and the fiber is from one of the $1 bins at Michaels that I inked up a bit.

anniversary card

This is an anniversary card that I made for my brother-in-law and his wife.

All of the paper and the chipboard embellishment are from Teresa Collins' Crush line. The ribbons are from Offray.



The scalloped piece in the corner is cut from one of the papers. It's great when you can use the papers as an embellishment.



I attached one of the matching chipboard pieces to the scalloped piece and tucked the ribbon underneath.



The sentiment is cut from another piece of paper from the Crush line as well.

birthday card

This is a birthday card I made for my brother-in-law's girlfriend.



I used My Mind's Eye glittered papers. I cut the diamond piece from one of the papers for a little oomph. I tied a piece of Offray ribbon around it before adhering it to the other paper.

sneak peek for GIBBS 4

I made this item for Tammy in the GIBBS 4 paintcan swap on the Cricut messageboard. I can't share the whole project just yet because we haven't traded our paintcans.

Tammy likes Little Yellow Bicycle and I like Little Yellow Bicycle so I knew I would use their paper on one of her projects. I used their Vita Bella line for this project.
