"treasure"

Whenever I visited with my grandparents I always made sure to take a picture of my son with each of them and the 3 of them together. Grampa passed away this March so these are the last pictures I'll have like this. They are a "treasure" to me.
For this page I used My Mind's Eye glittered paper and I cut "treasure" out using my "Graphically Speaking" Cricut cartridge.

"Road Trip 2007"

I made a special album for our trip in 2007 and I wanted a fun leading page to start it off and this is what I came up with.
I used my Cricut alot on this (as you can tell): 50 States, Going Places for "Road Trip" and Opposites Attract for "2007". The little state license plates are from Karen Foster. Just for the fun of it, I had taken a picture of the trip odometer and thought it was a nice touch here to show how many miles we put on from the time we pulled OUT of our driveway to the time we pulled IN to our driveway.

40th Anniversary gift

I did this project for my parents' 40th wedding anniversary back in 2005.
I don't remember where the paper came from or what line, but I do remember that all of the metal embellishments are by Making Memories and the picture frame was purchased at Michaels.

Word Book

This was my first word book which I made for happykimber, my partner for GIBBS Round 2 on the Cricut MB. I did cheat and bought a premade one by Bo-Bunny Press. It was hard to figure out how to pull it together but I did.

"Coasting Through Life"

This is a mini pullout scrapbook I made for the GIBBS Round 2 swap on the Cricut Messageboard. I found this project on Splitcoast Stampers. It was really easy to make.
I used Core'dinations cardstock and patterned paper from K & Company. The ribbons are from Offray and American Crafts. The little cutie on the front is "Tilda w/ a rose" from Magnolia Stamps. She was one of my very first coloring attempts.

mini album

This is a mini album I made for happykimber on the Cricut messageboard for the GIBBS Round 2 swap.
I used a library pocket album kit that I bought at The Goose Barn here in Rockford, IL. The cardstock is Core'dinations. The patterned papers are from K & Company. I cut the flourishes and butterflies out of one of the papers along w/ a couple extra flowers. I pop-dotted some of the flowers and butterflies. I also used my brown Stardust pen to outline the flourishes, butterflies and flowers for a little "pop".

"Paperbag Album"

This is a paperbag album I made for happykimber for GIBBS Round 2 on the Cricut messageboard. I used DCWV and Core'dinations cardstock, patterned paper from Paper Studio, stickers from Reminisce, some punched leaves and velcro tabs as closures for the book. The "pocket pages" are folded for more pics and journaling.

"Coffee Collar Album"

This is my first attempt at a coffee collar album. I used Bazzill for the page inserts and the dog bone paper and stickers are from Stemma. This was also the first time I used my Bind-It-All! I used some dog bone paper clips and some seam binding from Mom's stash to finish it off.

"I'm Thankful For..."

This is a wooden frame I picked up from Michaels and altered. I painted it w/ brown acrylic paint and then used a Distress Crackle paint over that. I added the letter stickers and applied a couple of layers of Mod Podge. The flowers are from Hero Arts and the gem brads are from Recollections.

"Purse*nality"

This was a Bare Elements purse from Creative Imaginations that I altered for happykimber.
I painted it with acrylic paint and I used YES! Paste again (great stuff!) to adhere the K & Company paper. The flower is from Hero Arts w/ a button that I pulled from Mom's stash for the center. I tied off different scraps of lace trim and seam binding to the handle to finish it off.

the box

This is a paper mache box I altered for happykimber to hold some of her goodies.
I used YES! Paste to adhere the paper from Basic Grey's Boxer line. I tied it off w/ some white tulle and pale silver ribbon.

"Road Trip"

This is a 5x7 clipboard I altered. I removed the clip and used YES! Paste to adhere the Tim Holtz paper and then applied a couple of layers of Mod Podge to seal it in. I added the ribbon and tied off a Tim Holtz embellishment.

"Ghosts & Goblins, Witches & Spiders"

My son & I found this bag in the $1 bins at Michaels and decided to use it for this project for GIBBS Round 2.
I put a gem in the center of each eyeball and then used Stickles around the shapes to add some fun to it.

happykimber's remaining cards

These are the remaining 6 cards I made for happykimber. I used papers and embellishments from K & Co along w/ a Tag Pad that matched the line of papers. This Tilda was one of my first coloring attempts and Edwin was a more recent coloring attempt.

"Alter a Tin"

Yep, you guessed it ... another project for happykimber :D
This was a tin I picked up at Hobby Lobby after Christmas. I covered the top w/ patterned paper from My Mind's Eye and some buttons from my stash that I got from my mom's craft room. I included a thin piece of ribbon on the rim of the lid also.

"From the Outside Looking In"

This is yet another project for happykimber :D
This is a recessed window card using Core'dinations cardstock and patterned paper from Paper Studio. The smaller butterfly is "pop-dotted".

"Stars and Stripes Forever"

I made this for happykimber also.

I painted the edges of the papier mache box and covered it w/ shimmery papers from Reminisce using YES! Paste. That stuff is awesome for these types of projects!

"Summer Falls Into Autumn"

I made these blocks for happykimber, my partner for GIBBS Round 2 on Cricut.com's messageboard.
I painted and distressed the blocks, added letter stickers, applied Mod Podge and "Stickle"d the edges.

It's Official ...

I have officially left the work force. I am taking time off to be a stay at home mom. Time is flying by way too fast! Before I know it my son will be graduating high school as he is growing so fast.
This is a new chapter in my life and I'm very excited to start!
