The current challenge at The Collectors Cut was to create something to do with recipes. For my project I chose to create a layout with the recipe written around the pictures.
The red paper was handcut using the pattern, the ivory paper was punched using Martha Stewart punches and the title was cut using my Cricut, Gypsy & Paper Lace cartridge.

Hello world!
Hello all! I'm back :)
I've been busy with home remodeling projects and co-chairing the fall book fair at my son's school. A lot of fun but a lot of work.
The Collectors Cut blog has started back up and our first challenge back was to create a shaped card.
Our most recent challenge was to create a Halloween decor project.

Please stop by The Collectors Cut to see what else has been created.

This week's challenge for The Collectors Cut had me using the Graphically Speaking and Mickey Font cartridges. I saw the "life is good" cut on Graphically Speaking and paired it with the dog bones on Mickey Font to go along with some pics of our dog on Christmas morning.

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY TO YOU ALL!
This week I drew the Picturesque, Heritage and Robotz cartridges for The Collectors Cut. I decided to do a scrapbook page of a 4 generation picture in honor of Mother's Day. This is the last picture I have of me & Mom and my son & Mom before she passed away.

I created the tag using all 3 of the cartridges: 'legacy' is from Heritage, the gear/flower shape at the top of the tag is from Robotz and the butterfly tag & base are from Picturesque.
All of the patterned papers are from Melissa Frances and the cardstock is from Bazzill. The pearls are from Prima and Recollections. I also used my Sakura Stardust pen on the tag and flower paper.

cards for the in-laws
This week I drew the Birthday Bash, Forever Young and Simply Charmed cartridges. I decided to make a Mother's Day card and Father's Day card since these holidays are coming at us fast.

I used Birthday Bash for the card bases & "lots of love", Forever Young for the tag shapes and Simply Charmed for the front sentiments.
All patterned papers are from Pink Paislee's Spring Fling line. I used Core'dinations cardstock along with Distress Stickles & Studio G glitter glues. The flowers are prima with Recollections brads. I inked the edges with VersaMagic's Jumbo Java chalk.

"Happy Easter"
This is an Easter basket I created for The Collectors Cut's weekly challenge. I drew the Walk in My Garden, Printing 101 and Groovy Times cartridges to create this.

I used white cardstock and Glimmer Mists again for this challenge. The flower pot was cut from Core'dinations cardstock. I backed the leaves with a scrap of paper from the Green Tea stack from DCWV.
A close up of the flowers ...

"peace, love & music"
I created this page for my weekly project for The Collectors Cut. I drew the Nursery Rhyme, Rock Princess and Fabulous Finds cartridges this week and really wondered how I was going to make them work for a masculine page. This is what I came up with ...

I used Fabulous Finds to create the library pocket and Nursery Rhyme for the black base on the front of the pocket. The remaining cuts are all from Rock Princess.

I used pop dots and mini black brads on the guitar for a bit of dimension.

All solid cardstock is Bazzill Bling and the patterned paper for the pocket is from Creative Imaginations.
Thank you for taking the time to look!

anniversary card w/ pocket envelope
This is the project I came up with for this week's project for The Collectors Cut. I drew the Sweethearts, Once Upon a Princess and Hello Kitty Greetings cartridges for this week.
This is the front of the pocket envelope that was cut from Sweethearts. I used my Gypsy to cut only the silhouette and heart to place in the openings. I backed the openings up before I glued the pocket together.

I used pop dots on the silhouette.

This is the front of the card. I used Once Upon a Princess for the card base as well as the star-flower shapes. I used the cuts from the pocket envelope here.

The left flap is raised here. The "I LOVE YOU" is from Hello Kitty Greetings.

This is the card opened completely to show all of the cuts together.

All of the papers for this project are from Basic Grey's Eva collection.
