"Someday This Will All Make Sense!"

My son has a great fondness of Legos. I guess most children do ... the process of creating something with your own two hands is a great thing.

All of the patterned papers on this page are from Cosmo Cricket's Get Happy line. I layered in a bit of yellow cardstock to break things up a bit.

"family"

This is our annual family photo from Christmas morning 2009. When we took this year's picture my husband & I told our son that he's getting too big for our laps ... I'm really going to need to learn to use the timer on my camera. :D

I used Pink Paislee's Mistletoe & Co. line for this page. I cut the embellishment in the bottom right corner from one of the papers and used Pop Dots for dimension. The "family" embellishment is from Making Memories. I added some Michaels dollar bin bling to the scalloped circle for a little more sparkle.

kusudama flower ball

I made this one for my stylist who I've known for years. He decorates his Christmas tree in reds and I knew what I was going to do once I found that out. :)

I used papers by DCWV and My Minds Eye, Creative Imaginations glitter glue, Zip Dry Paper Glue, Darice gems and Offray ribbon.

"Merry Christmas" 2009

This page is from Christmas morning of 2009. I'm only a year behind ... that isn't too bad I guess :D

All of the papers and the ribbon is from Pink Paislee's Tinsel Town line. (This line is one of their first releases.) I cut the "Merry Christmas" tag and base from the papers and used Pop Dots for dimension. I also used my Sakura Stardust on the tag for a little sparkle.

treat baskets

These are the treat baskets I made for my son's classmates for their Christmas party.

I used 9" squares for these. I will use 7 1/2" squares next time because they were a bit too big this time.

The base pieces are AC embossed cardstock and the snowflakes were cut from white cardstock using my Cricut and Winter Lace cartridge. The silver/gray box snowflakes are sprayed with Frost Glimmer Mist and the blue box snowflakes are sprayed with Pearl Glimmer Mist. I tied the baskets off with strips of white tulle.

"snow" kusudama flower ball

I decided to make a kusudama flower ball for my Christmas tree using my favorite color and theme. I'm really happy with how it turned out!

I used older papers from DCWV, Creative Imaginations glitter glue, Zip Dry Paper Glue, Celebrate It! ribbon and some snowflake embellishments I had received in a swap on the Cricut Messageboard.

I hope you like it!

"Christmas monkey bread" 2009

My family's Christmas morning breakfast had been cinnamon rolls for quite some time. A couple of years ago I decided that my son & I would start making Monkey Bread for our Christmas breakfast while my husband took the pictures to remember this tradition. We open our presents while the Monkey Bread is baking and then have our breakfast when we are done.

papers: Basic Grey Figgy Pudding

"Holiday Traditions" 2009

Since my parents' death, Christmas Eve has been celebrated with my sister and her daughter. Each year I take a picture of my son and niece as part of our "holiday tradition". They are both getting to the age where they visibly cringe when I bring out my camera for this picture but they humor me anyway. :D

patterned papers: Basic Grey Wassail
cardstock: Bazzill
embellishments: Studio16 bling, Cosmo Cricket
ribbon: Celebrate It! from Michaels (last year)
tools: Martha Stewart corner and border punches

"season of snow"

I took these pictures on December 23rd of last year. The ice was so heavy on the tree in our front yard that one of the limbs was hanging quite low over our driveway. I had to take pictures of this because it was so peaceful and just plain beautiful.

patterned papers: Pebbles
embellishments: Pebbles, Recollections (flourish & snowflake), Studio 16 bling, Spring Rain Glimmer Mist

"Medieval Feast"

This is an event that my son's school does annually for the 4th graders. They focus on medieval times for a history unit and they then celebrate with a "medieval feast". The children work hard on this unit and this is their reward.

patterned paper: DCWV Happily Ever After
embellishments: Recollections glittered bling corners, Studio 16 bling, ribbon (unknown) and Spring Rain Glimmer Mist

Halloween class party 2009

I finally got caught up through Christmas Eve of 2009. I have sooooo many pages to catch up on but I'll get to them a page at a time. :D

I used Cloud 9 Designs patterned paper, a Jolee's embellishment and a Recollections border strip for this page.
