anniversary card w/ pocket envelope

This is the project I came up with for this week's project for The Collectors Cut. I drew the Sweethearts, Once Upon a Princess and Hello Kitty Greetings cartridges for this week.

This is the front of the pocket envelope that was cut from Sweethearts. I used my Gypsy to cut only the silhouette and heart to place in the openings. I backed the openings up before I glued the pocket together.

I used pop dots on the silhouette.

This is the front of the card. I used Once Upon a Princess for the card base as well as the star-flower shapes. I used the cuts from the pocket envelope here.

The left flap is raised here. The "I LOVE YOU" is from Hello Kitty Greetings.

This is the card opened completely to show all of the cuts together.

All of the papers for this project are from Basic Grey's Eva collection.

"one goofy dog...

and we love you for it!"

Here is this week's project for The Collectors Cut. I drew the Easter 2010, Mickey & Friends and George & Basic Shapes cartridges for this week.

I cut the "medallion" shape from Easter 2010. The heart charm along with "one" and "dog" are from George. "Goofy" is from Mickey & Friends.

I cut the grass from Easter 2010 and the leaves from Mickey & Friends.

All patterned papers are from Reminisce's Shades of Autumn line. The green & red cardstocks are from WorldWin and the orange cardstock is from Core'dinations.

"hear ye hear ye"

Here is my project for this week's challenge at The Collectors Cut. I drew the Daisy Chain, Happily Ever After and Alphalicious cartridges and had to make myself turn them into "boy" cartridges.

I chose the trumpet/banner cut from Happily Ever After and centered the letterslater from Alphalicious on it. The "golden" cardstock is from Core'dinations and the green cardstock is from WorldWin. I used Sahara Sand VersaMagic chalk ink to tone down the brightness of the trumpet.

The outer frame/border was created by welding cuts from Daisy Chain on my Gypsy. I used gray cardstock from WorldWin with Slate, Graphite and Dew Drop Glimmer Mists.

The shield and sword were also cut from Happily Ever After. I used gray cardstock from WorldWin with Graphite Glimmer Mist and Midnight Black VersaMagic chalk ink. The sword handle is cut from the "golden" Core'dinations cardstock.

Happily Evey After was used yet again for the stallion. The brown & black cardstock are from WorldWin, I used Martha Stewart flock (this is the first time I've gotten to use flock LOL) and then I used Viva Decor's Anthracite Pearl Pen for the hooves.

The patterned paper for the background and mats is from The Luxury Stack from DCWV. I used my Jumbo Java VersaMagic chalk ink on the mats.

Thank you for looking!

Please stop by The Collectors Cut later tonight see what the Kimi, Laurie and Tracy have made.

my spooky son ... Halloween 2010

I created this page for The Collectors Cut Challenge #9. I drew the Doodlecharms, Indie Art and Mini Monsters cartridges this week and I automatically thought of Halloween with this combination.

I used Mini Monsters to cut the fence from black cardstock and then sprayed it with Cinder Glimmer Mist. I cut the skulls from Indie Art out of cream cardstock and used Rock Candy Distress Crackle Paint & Sahara Sand VersaMagic chalk ink to give them a little texture.

I cut the spiders from Doodlecharms on black cardstock and covered them in Creative Imaginations Lucky Black glitter glue. I decided to have them "climb down" from strands of embroidery floss to look a bit realistic.

I used pop dots on the spiders and skulls for a bit of dimension. I used papers from Basic Grey's Eerie collection and Little Yellow Bicycle's Frightful collection.

Check out The Collectors Cut tonight to see what else has been created.
